What is Closerly?

Closerly is a mobile app designed specifically for long-distance couples. It helps you stay connected with your partner through features like real-time chat, shared calendars, fun couple games, mood check-ins, love notes, and more — all in one beautiful app.

Is Closerly free to use?

Yes! Closerly is free to download and use. We offer all core features for free, including chat, games, calendar, and love notes. Premium features may be available through optional in-app purchases.

How do I connect with my partner?

After creating your account, you can connect with your partner in two ways:

  • Share your unique couple code with your partner
  • Enter your partner's code in the app to connect

Once connected, you'll be able to see each other's profiles and access all couple features!

What devices does Closerly support?

Closerly is available for both iOS and Android devices. You can download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We recommend using the latest version of your device's operating system for the best experience.

What games can we play together?

Closerly offers a variety of fun couple games including:

How does the distance tracker work?

The distance tracker shows the real-time distance between you and your partner. It requires location permission, which you can enable or disable anytime. When enabled, it updates your location periodically and calculates the distance to your partner's last known location.

What is the XP and Level system?

Closerly rewards your relationship activities with XP (experience points). You earn XP by:

  • Sending messages and love notes
  • Playing games together
  • Maintaining daily streaks
  • Creating calendar events
  • Completing daily check-ins

As you earn XP, you level up together as a couple, unlocking new titles and achievements!

Can I share expenses with my partner?

Yes! Closerly includes a shared expenses feature where you can track costs, split bills, and see who owes whom. Perfect for planning visits, gifts, or any shared purchases. The app calculates balances automatically.

Account & Privacy

Is my data secure?

Yes, we take your privacy seriously. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We never sell your personal information to third parties. Your messages and content are only visible to you and your connected partner. Read our Privacy Policy for full details.

Can I delete my account?

Yes, you can delete your account at any time from the Settings menu in the app. When you delete your account:

  • Your profile and personal data will be permanently removed
  • Your partner connection will be disconnected
  • Shared content like messages will be deleted

Please note that account deletion is irreversible.

How do I change my password?

To change your password, go to Settings > Account > Change Password in the app. You'll need to enter your current password and then set a new one. If you've forgotten your password, use the "Forgot Password" option on the login screen.

What happens if I disconnect from my partner?

Either partner can choose to disconnect at any time. When disconnected:

  • You'll no longer be able to see each other's content
  • Shared memories and messages become inaccessible
  • XP and levels are associated with the couple connection

You can connect with a new partner anytime after disconnecting.

Troubleshooting

I'm not receiving notifications. What should I do?

If you're not receiving notifications, try these steps:

  • Check that notifications are enabled in your device settings
  • Make sure Closerly has notification permissions
  • Check that you haven't muted notifications in the app settings
  • Try logging out and logging back in
  • Ensure you have a stable internet connection
The app is running slowly. How can I fix it?

If you're experiencing performance issues:

  • Make sure you're using the latest version of the app
  • Clear the app cache (Settings > App > Clear Cache)
  • Restart the app
  • Check your internet connection
  • Restart your device
